About the Role

As a Syndicate Reserving Actuary, you’ll take ownership of technical provisions, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements. You’ll also provide meaningful insights and recommendations to support business objectives and maintain robust financial practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the reserving process for syndicate operations, including actuarial inputs for technical provisions and regulatory reporting.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal governance standards.
• Analyze claims experience, providing actionable insights to key stakeholders.
• Develop and enhance actuarial models to support business needs.
• Collaborate with teams across underwriting, finance, and claims to deliver integrated solutions.
• Contribute to the quarterly reserving process and syndicate reporting.
• Support projects related to capital modeling, pricing, and risk management.

What We’re Looking For:

• A qualified actuary with significant experience in general insurance, particularly in reserving.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in actuarial tools and techniques.
• A proactive and collaborative approach to working across departments.
• Ability to communicate complex actuarial concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks, including Solvency II and Lloyd’s requirements, is highly desirable.
