An exciting opportunity for an experienced Property and Casualty (P&C) Actuary to provide expertise in assessing actuarial aspects of transaction targets globally, supporting M&A transactions, and contributing to post-deal integration initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver actuarial expertise for pricing prospective acquisitions within the M&A transaction process.
  • Manage reserving reviews for transactions, including complex or large-scale projects.
  • Provide high-quality assessments of reserve margins, identifying benefits and risks while working under tight deadlines with diverse information sources.
  • Effectively communicate results, including financial impacts, to internal teams and senior management.
  • Handle multiple projects concurrently with strict adherence to deadlines.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, sharing insights and contributing to broader business objectives.
  • Support post-deal integration and help shape the structure and processes of the actuarial function within M&A.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Qualified P&C Actuary with at least 7 years of experience, particularly in loss reserving.
  • Broad technical expertise in loss reserving across various lines of business, including long-tailed exposures, liability, and reinsurance.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities independently under tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present findings persuasively to stakeholders.
  • High integrity and a strong work ethic.

Preferred:

  • Experience in mergers, acquisitions, and consulting work.
  • Knowledge of lines such as Asbestos/Environmental, Workers’ Compensation, Construction Defect, Liability, and Excess Covers.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach to multidisciplinary projects.
