About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Pricing Actuary to join our Life Pricing team, focusing on managing and pricing key protection accounts. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a wider community of pricing professionals, contributing to the growth and success of the team in managing key protection product lines.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage actively in the tender process for new and existing opportunities, particularly for Term Life and Critical Illness product lines.
- Conduct detailed modelling and pricing of protection deals, including data interrogation, experience analysis (mortality, morbidity, demographic), cash-flow projection, reconciliation, and sensitivity analysis.
- Prepare technical deal documentation and support commercial deal leads with pricing reports, sign-off memos, offer letters, and negotiation as required.
- Contribute to the research, development, and refinement of pricing benchmarks, methodologies, and tools.
- Collaborate with in-force management and valuation teams for portfolio analysis and follow-up.
- Participate in face-to-face client meetings, assisting with client proposition development.
Qualifications and Skills
- Qualified Actuary with 5-10 years of post-qualification experience.
- Relevant pricing experience in (re)insurance, particularly with Term Life and Critical Illness product lines.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to tackle complex problems effectively.
- Self-motivated and skilled in managing time and multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., R) and the MS Office suite.
- Experience with relevant modelling software (e.g., AXIS, Risk Agility, Prophet) is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Life Insurance and Critical Illness product lines is beneficial.
