The Opportunity

As part of a dynamic team of over 30 actuaries, this role offers the chance to support international operations across multiple regions. While primarily based in London, the team offers flexibility with remote working options and access to other global offices. The role involves close collaboration with various departments and colleagues worldwide, including occasional travel for meetings and conferences.


Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to pricing and profitability activities, including large account pricing, pricing tool validation, and internal and regulatory pricing reporting.
  • Provide technical expertise on pricing tools and large account pricing within the actuarial team.
  • Support the annual business planning process and the parameterization of underwriting risk.
  • Collaborate with other teams such as Finance, Underwriting, and Capital to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date on market practices and innovations in technical pricing for wholesale business.
  • Draft Solvency II Actuarial Function Opinion reports, including those related to reinsurance arrangements and underwriting policy.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

  • Substantial experience in technical pricing, including case pricing large accounts and rating model development.
  • Proficiency in portfolio management and the development of monitoring metrics.
  • Experience in actuarial business planning and underwriting risk parameterization.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build effective relationships.
  • Knowledge of current market practices and pricing techniques across various markets.
  • Proven ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines effectively.
