This role offers the opportunity to perform advanced actuarial analyses that influence strategic decision-making across Pricing, Reserving, Reinsurance, and Corporate Reporting, under the guidance of senior actuaries.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to evaluate new business lines, developing rates and pricing strategies that drive profitable growth.
  • Investigate and provide data-driven insights on potential business opportunities.
  • Clearly present actuarial findings to diverse audiences, including underwriters and stakeholders, addressing alternative structures or assumptions as required.
  • Deliver presentations on actuarial analyses to ensure stakeholders understand implications.
  • Proactively identify and escalate potential actuarial issues.
  • Mentor junior actuaries, fostering knowledge sharing and professional growth.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, or a related analytical field with a minimum GPA of 3.2.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 3 years of actuarial experience.
    • Completion of at least 4 SOA/CAS actuarial exams with a commitment to achieving Associate or Fellowship designation in CAS.
    • Proficiency in Excel and advanced computer skills.
    • Preferred experience with SQL, R, or Python, as well as Power BI and ResQ software.
    • Strong background in pricing and reserving.
