We are seeking a Reserving Actuary to be based in either London, Redhill, or Dublin. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in an actuarial role and be part-qualified, nearly qualified, or newly qualified.

This role combines project leadership and strategic collaboration with teams across actuarial, analytics, and business units. Responsibilities include operational tasks such as reserving, regulatory reporting, and planning, alongside delivering analytical insights to leadership and stakeholders.

Flexible hybrid working options are available, with a £2500 new joiner bonus for eligible candidates.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy

  • Lead strategic initiatives and projects.
  • Propose innovative solutions to enhance performance and efficiency.
  • Participate in cross-unit and enterprise-wide projects.

Operational

  • Independently perform actuarial and analytic analyses.
  • Support unit and department-wide initiatives.
  • Drive process efficiencies and propose enhancements.

Communication

  • Present analyses and project results to peers and stakeholders.
  • Translate technical topics for non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate on ideas and challenges through discussions and written communication.

Talent Development

  • Mentor and onboard team members.
  • Support performance management and personal development processes.
  • Contribute to recruitment and training initiatives.

Leadership

  • Manage assigned projects and meetings, presenting recommendations to business partners.
  • Begin mentoring team members and supporting broader business goals.

Quantitative Analysis

  • Utilize advanced data, tools, and methods effectively.
  • Independently perform analytics and contribute to complex projects.

What We’re Looking For

  • Progressing toward or recently achieved actuarial qualification.
  • Degree in a STEM-related field.
  • Strong programming skills (e.g., SQL, SAS).
  • Proficiency in actuarial and quantitative analysis.
  • Solid understanding of insurance products and industry trends.
