We are seeking an experienced Pricing Actuary to join our Aerospace team and contribute to the success of a globally recognized insurance leader. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact within an exciting and dynamic sector.
Key Responsibilities
As a Pricing Actuary, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Aerospace business by delivering advanced pricing analyses, performance monitoring, and strategic insights. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing actuarial and analytical support to drive profitable business growth and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
- Developing, analyzing, and enhancing technical pricing tools using Python.
- Reporting and analyzing performance at a granular level (e.g., account and rating factors) using R to enable underwriters to optimize results.
- Leading large-scale transformation projects, including rater development, enhancement in HX, and the creation of rating models.
- Collaborating with the actuarial pricing team to monitor rates at renewal and new business levels, ensuring the presence of up-to-date technical pricing models.
- Ensuring the completeness, accuracy, adequacy, and timeliness of data used for pricing and performance monitoring.
- Leading profitability studies and business planning initiatives.
- Training and mentoring junior team members to enhance team capability.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory and risk management requirements.
- Adhering to global and matrix decision-making standards within assigned authorities.
What You Bring
- A degree in Mathematics or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in actuarial pricing within General Insurance.
- Proficiency in R and VBA, with additional knowledge of Python being desirable.
- Strong analytical, coding, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with stakeholders globally.
