Your Role

As a Portfolio Management Actuary, you will develop and lead portfolio optimization strategies, assess reinsurance structures, and analyze new business opportunities to enable data-driven decision-making. Working closely with actuarial, underwriting, and analytics teams, you’ll play a pivotal role in maximizing portfolio performance. This position includes managing and growing a small team of analysts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead portfolio management initiatives with cross-functional collaboration.
  • Analyse and challenge business planning assumptions with robust analytics.
  • Evaluate new business opportunities and refine reinsurance strategies.
  • Develop and implement portfolio optimisation metrics and data visualisation tools.
  • Provide insights into underwriting performance and return on capital.
  • Collaborate with actuarial teams on pricing, reserving, and function reports.
  • Drive process efficiency and maintain strong governance and documentation practices.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified FIA or equivalent experience in capital, portfolio management, pricing, or reinsurance.
  • Strong skills in SQL, programming (R, Python), and data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Familiarity with Tyche or other capital modeling platforms is advantageous.
  • Creative problem-solving, collaboration, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Lloyd’s or London Market (preferred but not essential).
