This role involves overseeing actuarial responsibilities for half of the organization’s ACA regions, including pricing, financial results, and strategic guidance. The position will drive pricing strategies, risk adjustment analysis, and financial performance to support business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide the development of pricing assumptions aligned with ACA dynamics and business objectives.
  • Contribute to risk adjustment and risk score analyses to enhance pricing and forecasting accuracy, working with internal teams and external consultants.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Strategy, Product Performance, Network, Compliance) to achieve profitability and membership goals.
  • Collaborate on cost-reduction initiatives to improve competitiveness while meeting financial targets.
  • Analyze complex data sets, identify opportunities and risks, and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Develop responsible pricing strategies that balance calculated risks with business objectives.
  • Build relationships with regulators and lead negotiations on rate filings and approvals.
  • Manage and mentor a team of 6-8 professionals, from analysts to senior managers, fostering growth and professional development.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of related experience.
  • ASA/FSA credential.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience working with large datasets; SQL and Power BI experience is a plus.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Prior management experience with a focus on team development.
  • Strong technical and detail-oriented mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ACA markets and regulations.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $100,000 to $231,540 annually, depending on experience, education, and geographic location. Additional compensation includes eligibility for bonuses, commissions, or short-term incentives, as well as participation in the company’s equity award program.
