We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Pricing Actuary to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the SVP, Chief Actuary, this hybrid role will lead pricing operations in the U.S. and align with our New York office. The successful candidate will guide the U.S. pricing team, execute the pricing strategy, and provide insights that drive underwriting income growth and portfolio optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high-performing U.S. pricing team, fostering collaboration and technical excellence.
- Define and execute the U.S. pricing strategy to support business objectives.
- Enhance active portfolio management to drive underwriting profitability.
- Oversee rate change reporting, predictive analytics, and model development to support pricing decisions.
- Conduct profitability reviews and ensure robust rating tools and account pricing mechanisms are in place.
- Lead portfolio management initiatives to optimize risk and return.
Qualifications
Education and Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS) or actively pursuing ACAS designation with at least 5 exams completed.
Experience
- 12+ years of actuarial experience across multiple commercial Excess and Surplus (E&S) product lines, with a preference for casualty lines.
- Strong knowledge of Management Liability products and ISO standards is advantageous.
- Familiarity with property catastrophe modeling is a plus.
Skills and Expertise
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, including senior management.
- Proficiency in data tools and software, including Snowflake/SQL, R Studio, Python, Power BI, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Outlook, Word).
- Strong understanding of capital allocation and risk-adjusted return models.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- A collaborative approach to problem-solving and a commitment to teamwork.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on the accuracy of information and analysis.

- Travel Requirement: Up to 15%.
