Your Role

As a Capital Actuary, you will work closely with the Head of Capital Modelling to maintain and develop internal capital models. You’ll engage with cross-functional teams, contribute to capital planning, and drive innovative approaches to risk management. This role offers early exposure to senior stakeholders and significant opportunities to influence business strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, parameterise, and manage internal capital models.
  • Deliver regulatory reporting, including Standard Formula and Lloyd’s Capital Returns.
  • Integrate capital models into business processes like portfolio optimisation and reinsurance strategy.
  • Lead governance, IMAP submissions, and internal model validations.
  • Collaborate with underwriting, finance, and risk teams to deliver strategic insights.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in capital modelling, preferably with Tyche or similar software.
  • Strong problem-solving, creativity, and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective communicator, adaptable to varied audiences.
  • FIA qualification (or equivalent) completed or near completion.
  • Familiarity with the Lloyd’s market and regulatory requirements.
  • Passion for continuous learning and professional development.
