We’re seeking a skilled Actuary & Director to join our Capital Reinsurance and Solutions team in Newport Beach, CA, or Omaha, NE. This role offers flexibility, with options for onsite or hybrid work. You’ll play a pivotal role in developing and implementing capital solutions that drive the company’s financial objectives and long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Pricing and Implementation: Drive the end-to-end pricing and execution of affiliate reinsurance transactions, collaborating across divisions and teams.
- Financial Planning and Forecasting: Oversee annual planning and quarterly/ad-hoc forecasting for expected transactions, aligning with the company’s broader financial goals.
- Reporting: Manage financial, regulatory, and stress-testing reports for affiliate reinsurance transactions.
- Capital Optimization: Optimize capital transactions to enhance overall company outcomes.
- Treaty Management: Maintain and report on existing capital reinsurance treaties.
- Strategic Support: Contribute to future strategic capital structuring projects.
- Retrocession Analysis: Provide insights and analysis for retrocession arrangements.
- Mentorship and Guidance: Offer guidance to internal departments and mentor junior team members to build a robust team.
Qualifications:
- Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation required.
- 7+ years of actuarial experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Familiarity with reinsurance structures and transactions.
- Knowledge of Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA) and NAIC requirements.
- Understanding of Asset Liability Management (ALM) and pricing concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
