About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an actuarial professional to join a dynamic reserving team. The position involves supporting various lines of business in forecasting, reserve monitoring, and providing actuarial insights to drive business decisions. The role allows you to work on diverse portfolios in a global context while being based outside London.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in forecasting technical provisions, reserve margins, and uncertainties for reports, accounts, and business planning.
  • Conduct interim reserve analyses, including actual vs. expected results and large loss event reporting.
  • Analyse drivers of reserve changes and report findings to management.
  • Use established systems and procedures to ensure accurate data analysis.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure data-driven decision-making.

Skills and Requirements

  • Strong understanding of actuarial processes and best practices in modeling and analysis.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and programming languages like SQL or SAS.
  • Experience in general insurance is preferred but candidates from other insurance areas are welcome.
