 Role purpose: This position will offer you the opportunity to join a truly specialist insurer with an excellent culture that is all about collaborations, challenging convention and innovation.  The position will offer a unique opportunity to perform a highly diverse role, which will encompass significant exposure and interaction with underwriting, risk management, finance, senior management and other actuarial functions. The role offers more diversity than your standard actuarial role, where no two days are the same.

This is a role that will excite someone who enjoys variety in their role and enjoys working on different projects. Ultimately, the position requires you to work alongside the rest of the Internal Capital Model team where you’ll help with the day to day running of the model and actively contribute to the various objectives the team has.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and submitting the annual Lloyd’s Capital Return and working with reviewers at Lloyd’s to determine Syndicates final Economic Capital Assessment
  • Developing and running the internal capital model to meet both internal requirements and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborating with teams around the group to co-ordinate inputs and developments to the internal capital model
  • Setting of business plan assumptions in conjunction with the London Market Pricing Team and parameterisation of non-catastrophe underwriting risk

Key Criteria:

  • A qualified, or nearly qualified, actuary with excellent communication skills
  • 4+ years of capital modelling experience, ideally Lloyd’s market
  • Good working knowledge of Remetrica
