A leading insurance organization is seeking a skilled Senior Actuary to join their UK/EU Actuarial Pricing Team. This role focuses on ensuring the profitability of MGA partnerships, delivering data-driven insights, and collaborating across key business areas. Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate & Price MGA Opportunities: Ensure new MGA opportunities meet profitability targets, developing necessary rate-level and rating algorithm changes.
  • Support Existing MGAs: Provide actuarial guidance to a portfolio of current MGA Members, ensuring their continued profitability.
  • Innovate at Scale: Enhance actuarial support for Member MGAs by implementing creative and efficient solutions.
  • Market Awareness: Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging risks, offering proactive recommendations.
  • Collaborative Engagement: Build strong relationships and work closely with Underwriting, Distribution, Claims, and Technology teams.

Ideal Candidate

  • Qualifications: Associate or Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA).
  • Experience: 5–10 years of P&C actuarial experience; commercial lines pricing is preferred, though personal lines will be considered.
  • Product Knowledge: Exposure to a variety of P&C commercial insurance products.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, R, and Excel with strong analytical and modeling capabilities.
  • Communication: Ability to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Work Ethic: Self-motivated, eager to learn, and capable of thriving with minimal supervision.
