Your Role

We are seeking a Reserving Actuary to join our London, Redhill, or Dublin office. This role is ideal for someone with prior actuarial experience who is part-qualified, nearly qualified, or newly qualified. You will lead strategic projects and collaborate with actuarial, analytics, and business teams to deliver insights on reserving, regulatory reporting, and planning. The role combines technical expertise, business acumen, and project leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Drive and execute strategic initiatives and cross-unit projects.
  • Propose and implement solutions to improve team performance and timelines.

Operational Excellence

  • Perform and lead actuarial analyses to support business decisions.
  • Enhance operational efficiencies in reserving, planning, and forecasting.
  • Support European and enterprise-wide initiatives.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Present technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Lead and actively participate in discussions to address business challenges.

Talent Development

  • Mentor junior talent and contribute to recruitment and onboarding efforts.
  • Support training and skill development initiatives across the team.

What We’re Looking For

  • Progressing towards or recently achieved actuarial qualification.
  • Strong skills in MS Office and programming (e.g., SQL, SAS).
  • Solid understanding of insurance products and actuarial methods.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities in project ownership and mentoring.
