We are seeking an experienced actuarial leader to head and manage pricing professionals aligned with the business. The Actuary & Director will collaborate with business and support teams on strategy, risk selection, pricing, and portfolio optimization. This role will drive profitability, develop cutting-edge actuarial strategies, and foster a high-performing, inclusive team culture.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Own the results of Lexington Professional Lines, partnering with business leaders to develop and execute strategies focused on profitability and long-term organizational goals.
- Conduct profitability studies and deliver segment-level rate and retention recommendations.
- Lead the implementation of advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and segmentation analysis to enhance business capabilities.
Actuarial Guidance
- Develop and recommend initial plan loss ratios as part of the annual planning process, considering underwriting actions and changes in business mix.
- Enhance rating methodologies and pricing tools to reflect evolving market, economic conditions, and product offerings.
- Provide regulatory guidance, including rate filings for admitted products.
Training and Oversight
- Train underwriters on pricing tools and strategies while offering transactional pricing support for complex accounts.
- Oversee special projects, compiling and summarizing findings to inform strategic decisions.
- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce manual effort, and ensure data accuracy.
Team and Culture Development
- Foster a collaborative, diverse, and inclusive culture within the team.

Qualifications
Education and Certification
- Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) with at least 10 years of actuarial experience.
- Experience in professional lines and multifunctional actuarial areas such as pricing, reserving, and analytics.

- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, enforce accountability, and position team members for success.
- Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to present clear and concise analysis to senior management.
