Role purpose:
To provide specialist actuarial advice and analysis to allow relevant Actuarial department and the business to deliver strategic and tactical objectives/business requirements
Role Responsibilities:
- Accountable for the delivery of key pieces of work ensuring that all regulatory/legal requirements are adhered to
- People/project management (as appropriate)
- To lead and be accountable for output quality, taking a lead role in project teams (as appropriate) and BAU work
- Produce, co-ordinate and present reports to Executive standard with final review by E3 or FL as appropriate
- Relationship management both internal and external to the department
- Promotion of pan Actuarial communication, best practice and links
- To manage and be accountable for audit and controls
- To contribute to and challenge departmental strategy
- To seek and use innovative solutions to queries and problems
- To lead and maintain an environment of continuous improvement and development
- To apply technical expertise in order to generate discussion and creation of possible solutions
- To cascade information, decisions and direction in a positive and efficient manner, including difficult communications that may present some challenge
- To stand in for Function Leaders/E3s when/if appropriate
- Supplier management
